Apostolic at Work

Editorial Focus: The Apostolic at Work section features stories of pioneering, breaking ground, miracles, signs, and wonders, taking new territories, or planting new works within the United States. Articles could include interviews, lessons learned, or overviews/profiles of actual projects (and/or pioneers) and their impact. Apostolic at Work articles should articulate specific dynamics of the building process and the impact the project had (e.g., spiritual, physical, humanitarian, psychological, and financial impacts). Readers should finish with a clear understanding that the apostolic, as defined in 2 Corinthians 12:12, is still at work today.

  • What to submit for consideration (summary/synopsis): Submit a one-paragraph (50- to 150-word) synopsis of your proposed story, along with any details you think would be important for the editor to know. The summary should outline the progression of the story from beginning to end and include a description of the impact of the project featured. Please do not submit story excerpts of marketing “teaser” copy in place of this summary. Also include with the submission (not for publication) your full name (and legal name if different from the name used in the byline), mailing address, email address, and preferred phone number. We will review your summary and let you know if we would like you to write the full-length story.
    • Note: We are unable to accept previously published work.
    • Synopsis Deadline: We are accepting one-paragraph summaryproposals on an ongoing basis through May 10, 2025.

Articles could include interviews, lessons learned, or overviews/profiles of actual projects (and/or pioneers) and their impact. Apostolic Abroad articles should articulate specific cross-cultural dynamics of the building process, how the culture affected the process, if at all, and the impact the project had (e.g., spiritual, physical, humanitarian, psychological, and financial impacts) both on the traveling participants and those who live in the international location. Prophetic Evangelism

Editorial Focus: The Prophetic Evangelism section features stories of how the prophetic (e.g. the gift of prophesy, the word of wisdom, or the word of knowledge) impacted the life of an unbeliever during formal or informal evangelism. It highlights how communicating God’s voice can save souls as Apostle Paul said it could in 1 Corinthians 14:24-25. The evangelism could have been solo or in a team. Articles should feature real-life interactions and their impact. Pseudonyms can be used to protect privacy; if so, it will be stated in the opening of the article that a pseudonym(s) is being used. Prophetic Evangelism articles should articulate specific dynamics of communicating God’s voice and the impact the interaction had on an unbeliever (or former unbeliever if they received salvation). Readers should finish with a clear understanding that the prophetic, as defined in 1 Corinthians 14:24-25, has the power to bring unbelievers to repentance today.

  • What to submit for consideration (summary/synopsis): Submit a one-paragraph (50- to 150-word) synopsis of your proposed story, along with any details you think would be important for the editor to know. The summary should outline the progression of the story from beginning to end and include a description of the impact of the interaction. What was it like to receive and communicate what God was saying? How did the person receive it? What attributes/characteristics of God were revealed to the person? To you? Also, include with the submission (not for publication) your full name (and legal name if different from the name used in the byline), mailing address, email address, and preferred phone number. We will review your summary and let you know if we would like you to write the full-length story.

    • Your name as you would like it to appear in the byline

Watchman’s Wall

Editorial Focus: The Watchman’s Wall section focuses on warnings or directives for a nation, a state, city, or the body of Christ given by the Holy Spirit through prophetic intercession. Watchman’s Wall articles should come directly from something the Holy Spirit spoke through intercession. These articles are the sounding of a trumpet; they are God’s alarm system in written form. They highlight what the Spirit revealed through intercession in three parts 1) The context: corporate prayer, individual prayer and what Holy Spirit communicated (the warning or directive) 2) What we should pray in response (give Scriptures and prayer points) 4) What action or responsibility the Scripture indicates spiritual leaders should take (if any). The Watchman’s Wall article closes by inviting readers to continue to watch and pray in the Spirit concerning the revelation. Articles should feature real encounters in prophetic intercession.
