Identity Restored: New Year, New You

Before Jesus performed any miracle, sign, or wonder, the Father announced His approval, saying from heaven, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). His identity—”beloved son”—was not in works but relationship. Jesus echoes the same sentiment to us in Scripture, “to those who receive Him, He gives the power to become sons of God” (John:12). Please note it is the power to become—not to do. It is the power to embrace a restored identity.

This year, it is important to become, to grasp the reality of who we are in Christ before doing works of performance. The enemy fights our understanding who we truly are with childhood trauma, rejection, and betrayal.

But in this New Year, it’s time for a new you. Please watch as I discuss this important topic within Angella Wynn of the Wynning Circle.
